Hi, I'm Mark!

I want to understand reality and greatly progress humanity, all while building trustworthy decades-long relationships and having fun.

That led me to work on AI safety. Currently doing a few progressively ambitious independent (or via fellowships) strategy and fieldbuilding projects. Focusing on deliberate practice and becoming unignorably good. Before that I spent ≈8 months on technical AI safety. (Also trying to move to Silicon Valley, O1 help appreciated!)

Previously I was searching for a well-fitting problem and craft to maximize my impact, exploring longevity, web-dev, and startups. Usually I'd make a guess, intensely dive into it, and try making something worthy of remark, e.g.:

Inspired by Scott Young finishing MIT CS bachelor in one year, I pursued a similar CS self-study with full stack web-dev focus for 8 months. Got proficient in CS and JS, but pivoted to ML and AI safety.

From Sep 2025 spending full time mastering ML/DL and technical AI safety through consistent and deliberate practice. From textbooks like AIMA, HOMLP, to TAIS bootcamps and projects.
