Hi, I'm Mark!

I want to understand reality and greatly progress humanity, all while building trustworthy decades-long relationships and having fun.

That led me to work on technical AI safety. Currently I'm focused on becoming unignorably good through consistent deliberate practice (repo) and progressively ambitious projects. (Also trying to move to Silicon Valley, O1 help appreciated!)

Previously I was searching for a well-fitting problem and craft to maximize my impact, exploring longevity, web-dev, and startups. Usually I'd make a guess, intensely dive into it, and try making something worthy of remark, e.g.:

Highlights

An online book with essays on life's most important questions — written to be timeless, updated as my thinking evolves. From my life’s philosophy, goals and principles, to reflecting on my upbringing.

Two handbooks (≈200p. each) and several podcasts simply and deeply explaining David Deutsch's books. Endorsed by David, Naval Ravikant, Sam Hinkie, and others.

Inspired by Scott Young finishing MIT CS bachelor in one year, I pursued a similar CS self-study with full stack web-dev focus for 8 months. Got proficient in CS and JS, but pivoted to ML and AI safety.

From Sep 2025 spending full time mastering ML/DL and technical AI safety through consistent and deliberate practice. From textbooks like AIMA, HOMLP, to TAIS bootcamps and projects.
